Electronics and space indicator lights of a Fritz parking guidance system

The system combines sensors, parking space displays, and software into a reliable overall solution for modern parking areas.

How does the system work?

An ultrasonic sensor above each parking space detects whether it is free or occupied. The status is transmitted to the data concentrator and displayed on the relevant parking guidance signs. An optional system PC provides a graphical overview and statistical analysis via ReView software. Interfaces to parking-management systems are available on request.

Operating Costs and Energy Consumption

The system is designed for low energy consumption. LED-backlit signs use at least 50% less energy than conventional fluorescent lighting and do not require separate 230 VAC wiring to each sign box.

Reliability

The system uses an embedded PC with no moving parts, providing a high level of operational reliability.

Signs and Remote Maintenance

  • Static and dynamic signs can be produced and integrated as required.
  • Remote maintenance is possible via the Internet.
  • The system can detect faults and automatically send error messages.

Wiring

Bus users are connected using A05VVO 4 × 1.5 cable (YM-O 4 × 1.5). The cable between the external space light and the sensor is included.
